Memorial Garden Tidy Up

Thank you to all the volunteers who came along to take part in our first tidy up of 2023 for Castlecary Memorial Garden.

This tidy up was mainly to weed, trim and spread 4 bulk bags of white marble chips around the back shrub bed of the picnic bench side of the garden.

This area is now looking fantastic and back looking at its best again, and it is hoped to continue this white marble theme around the rest of the shrub beds.

Thank you to the committee members & family members of our community council, the residents of Castlecary and to our Local Councillor Tom Fisher, for all the hard work on such a hot and sunny afternoon.

Thank you to our local company CED for the discounted white marble stones and we appreciated there long and generous support for our community garden.

The Garden tidy up took around 3 hours to complete, and volunteers go at a pace which suits them best.

If you have the time and are free for our next garden tidy up, then please come along and have some fun with your neighbours while you help your community, and get involved in The Great Outdoors.

Why not pay a visit to the community garden to have a look around during this lovely weather. You will see many variety of flowers, shrubs and trees.

The garden also supports many varieties of wild life ranging from the smallest of insects, to many species of birds and also a family of wild rabbits.

There are several seats and picnic benches where you can sit and enjoy the garden and its beautiful surroundings.
